Good luck to everyone, dear friends and followers! Today I bring you news that will delight lovers of traditions and art: next June 1, our beloved Guadalajara will become the epicenter of Spanish crafts with the XVII National Meeting of Bolillos Lacemakers.

Yes, you heard it right! The Infantado Gardens will dress up to welcome lace makers from all corners of the country, who will delight us with their skill and creativity in this wonderful art that has been passed down from generation to generation.

This event, organized with care and dedication by the Provincial Association of Bolillos Lacemakers of Guadalajara, promises to be an unforgettable day full of tradition, culture and, above all, a lot of passion for bolillos. You can't miss it!

History and Monuments of Guadalajara

Taking advantage of the occasion, I invite you to immerse yourself in the rich history of Guadalajara, a city that, in addition to lace, has a lot to offer.

The Palace of the Infantado, located in the heart of the city, is undoubtedly a mandatory stop. This majestic building, a sublime example of late Gothic, was built in the 15th century and has witnessed numerous historical episodes. Its impressive façade and its beautiful courtyard of the lions will leave you speechless.

We can't forget the Co-Cathedral of Santa Maria, a beautiful temple that combines Mudejar and Renaissance styles. Walking through its naves is like going back in time and feeling the spirituality and history of Guadalajara.

And, of course, if you are nature lovers, the Infantado Gardens Not only will they be the setting for the meeting, but they will also offer you a perfect corner to relax and enjoy the natural beauty in the heart of the city.

Activities to Take Advantage of the Visit

In addition to the long-awaited Bolillos Lacemakers Meeting, Guadalajara offers you a variety of activities to complete your visit:

  1. Tapas Route: What better way to get to know a city than through its gastronomy? The local bars and restaurants will surprise you with delicious tapas and typical dishes.

  2. Guadalajara Museum: Located in the Infantado Palace itself, this museum houses a rich collection of art and archeology that you cannot miss.

  3. Walk through the Concordia Park: An ideal green space for a quiet walk or a family picnic. It is the perfect place to enjoy a sunny day and relax after visiting the Meeting.

  4. Visit to the Imón Salt Flats: A little further from the center, these historic salt flats are a fascinating excursion for those curious about history and nature.

So, you know, next June 1st you have an unmissable event in Guadalajara. Come enjoy the art of bobbin lace, learn about our history and explore all the charming corners that this city has to offer. See you at the Infantado Gardens!

Best regards, and until next time!
