An unmissable encounter with tradition in Vegadeo
Some traditions have their own unique, almost hypnotic sound. The soft clinking of wood rhythmically, the interlacing of threads that seem to come alive, and the absolute concentration of expert hands drawing in the air. Do you know what I'm talking about? Exactly! The marvelous art of bobbin lace.
In "El Mundillo de Eva"We love plans that reconnect us with craftsmanship, with things made slowly and with care. Vegadeo: Much more than bobbins
Since we're approaching this corner where Asturias meets Galicia, we can't miss the opportunity to enjoy the surroundings. Vegadeo has that special charm of towns that live overlooking their estuary.
Here are some ideas to complete your weekend:
A stroll along the Eo Estuary: It's undoubtedly the star attraction. The path along the estuary is wonderful, completely flat and accessible, perfect for strollers or for children to run around safely. The views of the water, with the small boats and migratory birds, will recharge your batteries. If the weather is good, the light at sunset here is spectacular.
The charm of the town center: Lose yourself for a while in the streets of downtown Vegadeo. You'll discover charming squares, stone houses, and the occasional gem of Indiano architecture that will transport you to another era.
Flavors of the border: Being in Asturias in February means your body craves something warm and comforting. The local cuisine is a delicious fusion of the best of the sea and the mountains. Don't leave without trying a hearty stew or the fantastic seafood from the estuary. Local restaurants are usually welcoming and have a family-friendly atmosphere.
