Embroidery Cutout, English and Richelieu.

Description

The name Trim Stitch defines 2 types of embroidery that are very similar to each other: Trim Stitch itself and Richelieu, which are identical in execution and only differ in the connecting flanges.

The Richelieu Embroidery has flanges adorning the drawing and is executed with a scallop if it is done by hand, and with a cord if the work is done by machine.

The English Stitch can fall into the category of “cut” embroidery, although it is not done on frays but is simply pierced.

This magazine shows drawings for applications of table linens, bedding sets and dresses, in full size.
