Chain Stitch Embroidery

Description

The Chain Stitch is one of the simplest of the so-called decorative stitches. Its origin comes from the Russia of the Tsars, and then spread throughout Europe. In Spain it is widely used in Lagartera work and in Mallorcan embroidery.

This stitch is characterized by passing the thread under the needle every time the fabric is pricked. The union of these stitches forms a “chain”, from which its name is derived.

This magazine features full-color drawings, graphics and photos for table linen, placemat and quilt applications.
