Welcome, bolilleras and bolilleros from Badajoz and beyond! Here we are again to welcome you to an event that is already a tradition in our lands: the III National Meeting of Bolillos Lacemakers Ciudad de Don Benito. And on this occasion, the city will be filled with threads, needles and smiles next Saturday, November 18, 2023.
Organized with all the love by the Bolilleras Don Benito Association, with the support and good work of the Don Benito City Council and the collaboration of the Badajoz Provincial Council, this meeting promises to be an event full of fabrics, talks and camaraderie. So prepare your bobbins and mundillos, because the fun is about to begin.
The day will start at 9:30 in the morning with the arrival of the participants, who will be received as they deserve with a breakfast of champions: churros with chocolate! Nothing better than a good shot of flavor and heat to start the day with energy.
At 10:00 sharp, we will start the engines with the reception and distribution of the participants. And in this meeting, it is not only about knitting, but about sharing, learning and enjoying together this tradition that unites us. The bolillo does not understand borders or distances, especially on such a special day!
At 11:00, we will take a walk through our beloved city. Because not everything is going to be lace, you also have to know the most beautiful corners of Don Benito! What better way to stretch our legs and chat animatedly while we walk?
At noon, the most anticipated moment will arrive: the greeting from the authorities and the raffle of various products. And at Don Benito we know how to thank our bolilleras for their art and dedication. There will be gifts for everyone!
After an intense morning, it will be time to rest and say goodbye. But don't worry, it will only be temporary. At 14:00 p.m., a brotherhood meal awaits us to recharge our batteries and continue weaving bonds of friendship. Because, as they say around here, “a girl with friends is better than two girls alone.”
