A day to celebrate tradition and craftsmanship
Next February 15th 2025, the municipality of Cartama (Malaga) will become the epicenter of textile craftsmanship with the celebration of III Bobbin Lace Meeting in El Sexmo. The event, which will take place at the Sexmo Sports Center – Paco Vargas “El Lata”, will bring together lovers and experts in the art of bobbin lace in a festive and traditional atmosphere.
An agenda to enjoy lace and culture
From early in the morning, the day promises to be an unmissable event for all those who value the craftsmanship and cultural richness that surrounds bobbin lace.
- 9:00 h - 9:30 h: Reception of attendees.
- 9:30 h - 10:30 h: Breakfast.
- 10:30 h - 14:00 h: Opening of the exhibition and institutional reception. In addition, the stands of the municipality's products will be inaugurated.
- 13: 00 pm: Action of the Tuna Youth Law Association, which will put the musical finishing touch with its characteristic repertoire full of joy.
This meeting is an exceptional opportunity to admire the art of bobbin lace making up close, share experiences with lace makers from different parts of the country and learn about local artisanal products first-hand.
